Keeping Your Cat Hydrated

Florida summers are absolutely beautiful. They can also be absolute scorchers! When it comes to pet care, hydration is a key concern at this time of year. Water

First and foremost, make sure that your furball always has fresh, clean water available. Clean your feline friend’s bowls daily, so they don’t collect dust or germs. If you have multiple floors and/or multiple cats, set out more than one water station.

Ice

Another thing you can do is just offer your feline buddy an ice cube. Some kitties really like licking ice cubes! Of course, Fluffy may just decide to play with her snack. If she wants to bat the ice cube around, by all means let her. Because cats regulate their temperature through their paw pads, this will help keep your furball cool. Fountain

Sodium-free broth is a great option. It contains electrolytes, which will help keep your furry pal properly hydrated. Offer Fluffy a chilled bowl of beef, chicken, or fish broth on hot days.
